BEAM ANCHORS

ISM Beam Anchors are movable, portable anchor safety devices which can be used by any trades requiring fall arrest safety equipment. The devices are used for tying off when working on structural steel members, such as open beams and columns. The Beam anchors are available for both horizontal and vertical applications.

HORIZONTAL SLIDING, #FBT

This original Model was designed and developed by two Iron Workers who wanted to find a better and easier method for tie-off while working on and around structural steel. The Model FBT attaches quickly to the top, bottom or side of horizontal beams to form a rigid anchorage connector to connect a safety lanyard or retractable lifelime for personal fall protection and fall restraint. The Model FBT's unique design allows it to slide smoothly along the flange of the beam to follow the worker to his work area while maintaining 100% tie-off.


HORIZONTAL FIXED, #CFB

This is the clamping Beam Anchor for use where a temporary or permanent anchorage connector is required. The Model CFB attaches quickly to the bottom of side of horizontal beams to form a rigid anchorage connector to connect a safety lanyard or retractable lifeline for personal fall protection and fall restraint. The Model CFB's unique design allows it to clamp tightly on the flange of the beam and can be quickly and easily unclamped for movement to another location. Weighs under 4 lbs for easy portability and quick attachment.


VERTICAL FIXED, #VFB

This is The Vertical Beam Anchor for use where a temporary stationary anchor is required. The Model VFB attaches quickly to the bottom side of horizontal and verticle beams and columns to form a rigid anchorage connector to connect a safety lanyard or retractable lifeline, vertical and horizontal lifelines or perimeter lines for personal fall protection and fall restraint. The Model VFB's unique design allows it to clamp tightly on the flange of the beam or column and can be quickly and easily unclamped for movement to another location. Weighs under 6 lbs for easy portability and quick attachment.


 

RAIL ANCHOR

The ISM Rail Anchor provides Fall Protection when on a railroad bridge. It attaches quickly and glides on the rail providing continuous protection. The Rail Anchor is constructed from 304 Stainless Steel and accomodates rails with widths of 2.75" to 3.25". The Rail Anchor complies with OSHA 1910/1926, ANSI Z359.1-1998 requirements for anchorage devices

 

 

 

TROLLEY ANCHOR

The Trolley Anchor was developed as a joint venture with ISM USA and railroad bridge workers input.  This new anchor system realistically alleviates the hazard of exceeding more than a 6 free fall.  It also provides more freedom of movement for the worker.  This anchor system is attached to the rails with 4 rail sliders; wheels allow it to roll on the top of the rail.  It is two man rated and is fitted with two stationary D-rings on each side of the head plate for 100% tie off and movement.  It can be used with retractable lanyards, or straight lanyards in certain situations.  This is a very light aluminum system which takes one person less that 10 minutes to assemble and two men could run with it.  Toolboxes on each side of the base frame (not shown in this picture) for spikes, nuts and bolts add to worker convenience.

The Trolley anchor can also be fitted with an optional RESCUE ARM for use with the ISM EZQ Rope Rescue / Retrieval System. See photo below.

SLED ANCHOR

The Sled Anchor was developed to provide railroad bridge fall protection when the rails and ties are removed. The Sled Anchor easily rolls on 8" to 24" wide girders.

GRIZZLY 1350

The GRIZZLY 1350 Davit Arm was jointly developed with a local mining company to provide worker fall protection and rescue capabilities when working at an underground or surface Grizzly to an ore or rock pass. The GRIZZLY 1350 can be used with Miller or DBI retrieval SRL's, and it also includes an anchor point for use with rope and rope grabs or shock absorbing lanyards. It has an extentable arm with up to a 10ft reach allowing the worker to access the far side of most Grizzlies while reducing swing fall pendulum effect. The Grizzly 1350 is a free standing counterweight design with the counterweight being a large steel encased concrete block. The block is designed to be moved with a scoop while the steel davit arm components can be disassembled for storage or when it needs to be moved to another location.

 

   


 

 

QUIK STIK TEMPORARY HORIZONTAL LIFELINE SYSTEM

The QUIK STIK System is a railroad bridge temporary horizontal lifeline system. The system consists of two 5ft tall aluminum posts with stainless steel bases, and a 60ft Horizontal Lifeline installed between them. The post bases are designed to attach to 10 or 12 wide railroad ties using two 2 ratchet straps. The posts are also tied back to ties and tie spacers using a ratchet strap and sling. The aluminum post has a stainless steel cap with 2 attachment lugs for either the HL or tie back.  When properly installed, the system is designed to provide fall protection for 2 workers performing railroad bridge maintenance.
